What W208 CLK Should I go for?

A cheap 430 isn't necessarily a good bet .... i know you're mechanically minded so it might not bother you that much .....

Lots to go wrong with the V8 if it hasn't been looked after properly ...

p.s. I had a Mk1 Golf Cab 1.8 GLi ..... the insurance company wouldn't touch me on a GTi but were happy to insure me on a GLi ( which is basically the same thing ).....

I know what you mean about a cheap 430 I am not sure I really want to be rebuilding a V8 , I dont mind doing normal servicing. Is the 320 a twin spark by the way?

Don't know, the 430 is though and the plugs apparently are a pain to get at .....

Source a set of the 14 inch X spoke BBS's that the Mk 2's came with and it would look a treat ...

Actually the Clipper Rivage (last edition i think) came with those BBS's colour coded black with diamond cut rims , now they would look good ...

Seems a bit high ?

The reason its High is because the wheels rub already so is not lowered, its on the list to do but the Golf kind of got put to one side when I started the CE, and it still needs little bits doing, it has been put away in the Garage now I was using it for work. I haven't looked at the prices but it is winter so they are alot cheaper at the mo but I guess if I had to put a price around £1250 I guess

EDIT :- Just had a look and £1250 is optimistic this time of year...
