Whats AMG about it ?

From memory, in the end they asked alot of money for a LHD car.

wheeler dealers starts again on discovery real time, virgin channel 271 next Tuesday 5th . the 280sl episodes are on at 10pm. they start with a spitfire and do an porchse 944 turbo, audi quattro, beetle and an xjs.

Just seen the Triumph spitfire on the new series....whats happened to Mike ?????? He is absolutely huge and could hardly fit into the spitfire !!!!!

SL on now!

GOSH he has balooned...

i cant believe they ditched those deep dish wheels, i think they even called them a joke... but i think those wheels looked a whole lot better than the original ones they put on.

Oh and wasnt that an original AMG steering wheel??

he is no stranger to a fish supper as the great billy once said

he was well chubby before he really got into the car shows then lost loads of weight but has now put it all back on again

he had a mate called richard when they did the ch4/5 series with the lockup on that posh street and i cant find out where he got to

yep they ditched all the good bits and sold them on ebay... even got a good price IIRC.

However they were aiming for the market that was looking for originality as these customers always pay top dollar... so as a business decision, it was a good one.

they did achieve a good price for it in the end though...

Did anyone see the new one last night on the Porche 944 ? What a total waste of time doing all of that to the car just to make under a grand. They got the car really cheap on Ebay cause at the time it was snowing very heavily in London .They would have been better off just cleaning it up , fixing the seat and selling it, as no doubt, the car was a nice one.

And as for those orange alloys they stuck on there :eek::eek::eek:

They really messed up a totally decent classic there.
