hi

i have recently bought ml270 2001 and the epc ligt was on. the car does ot exceed 8mph and when driving its fine butifi stop to make a turn or in traffic black smoke comes out. i diagonised the fault and code p0190 came out. should i replace the fuel rail sensor or its something to do with the injetors.

Fuel pressure sensor is on a front of fuel rail. Fuel presure regulator is located on the end.

PO190 is for non-start. Is it like that on yours? Whats the problem as if you start guessing then you will spend more on stupid raplecing of your parts so better get it scanned by Merc of Indy and then replace parts.

hi
thanx my car starts and drives but it wont past the 80mph . the epc light is on and in the handbook it says ge the injectors checked. however i went to getit diagonised and the code that came up was p0190. we cleared the codes off and that po190 stayed did not clear. wats happeneig is that when driing i ve no problem but when i stop and the car is in drive a lrge clod o blacksmokecomes out thi only happens when ingear and i stop. its like its brnging to much diesel...

Sounds like EGR valve. If you feel ike doing it look for instructions how to do it based on 320cdi. You will find s...t load of posts about it. I helped on mine big time. If you will do it on yours - it wont be a bad thing.

When i bought my ml 270 it was doing exactly the same as yours,it was the egr that was that choked with black oily crap it had actually started filling the inlet manifold aswell restricting air flow therefore giving the impression of overfueling,
