Where's the water coming from?

Car - 1998 E320
Jacked-up the car today to remove the front off-side (drivers side) wheel. As I did so I noticed a steam of water that seemed to be coming from front passenger side of the vehicle . The water was running down from above the transmission tunnel. Difficult to pin down as only around a cup and a half spilled out.
I'm assuming a blocked drain somewhere. Any ideas anyone?

It could be from the drip tray under the A/C evaporator (the 'cold' radiator buried deep in the fascia), or it could be a blocked scuttle drain. There are two of these, at the extreme rear corners of the bonnet opening right under the windscreen. They are very prone to becoming blocked with leaves. If they're left blocked it will eventually lead to lots of water in the cabin footwells and soaking carpets.

Check your windscreen washer bottle.
Fill it up and see if it runs out again.

Cant be that , it will be a blocked drain tube, best thing to unblock them with is a length of curtain wire.
