It's trial and error mate. With German cars each one different as it depends on the the first owner and how it is spec'd. If you lucky you get lots of toys, a friend of mine was lucky and he picked up a E250 coupe which was well and truly kitted.

I managed to get the windows to wind down once only when you unlock vehicle. Ever since I have not been able to make it work again. I believe you unlock vehicle then hold down unlock key for windows to wind down?

You have to have the keyfob almost touching the small black square on the drivers door handle. I double click mine and hold button down after second click as seems to help.
