Most laptops only have two memory slots. If you buy one with 256 and put in another 256, when you want to upgrade again to 1Gb (and believe me you will want to) you will need to throw away the two 256's and put in new ones.Howard said:EDIT :- the 'low cost' memory upgrade is £45 for an extra 256 , totalling 512 ...... i would go down the crucial route, but it will invalidate the warranty if i open it up , surely its better to have it factory installed ?
Much better off buying a machine with a single 512 or 1Gb So-Dimm.
