White and bright head light bulbs

I know this has been debated many times, but am wondering whether things have changed.

Any suggestions for a "white" and "bright" replacement bulbs for cars without Xenon?

I had PIAAs on a previous car, and was impressed. Since then PIAA has all sorts of bulbs. What is the best (i.e. the most light and the whitest light) bulb out there? Size I need is H7 (for my runaround Merc E class estate).

Also, what is a good site to buy from?

Talking of bulbs what sizes are the W124 types

I know head/dip is H4 but what is Sidelight and Side Indicator Repeater bulbs
