I was wondering who could de restrict my car so i can get to the top speed.

Also is there a way to turn off my traction control.... and i mean OFF :D

Any help would be great

the ESP off button disables it?

Google dyno mode in CLS, E class. Disables ABS too :O Everything is off, I tried it once.

Remap etc should remove delimiter or a handy star man

If you want to play that game in Staffordshire, try the M6, not the curly roads near my house.

There is a space on the Eurocharged Tuning Day this Friday, get in touch with Savman if you are interested.

This way you can get your limiter removed whilst having a remap....

Jules.

yeah it doesn't fully disable it which does get a little frustrating. I will look up dyno mode. sounds interesting although i think i'd rather have the ABS there.

Rather random seeming as I live in Cornwall. Thanks for the offer of using your M6 however, I'd rather play that game on the autobahn and around SPA & nurburb... where I normally play.

If only I could get the time off work. Wish I could as its most likely a one off eurocharge doing all this isn't it?

Rebellion and MSL Centre are Eurocharged tuners.

On a side note, limiters are not removed.. They are just extended to an unobtainable speed, thus having the same effect.

Many thanks, i now have all my answers.

Out of interest.... what is the top speed of a standard cls55 amg, i heard rumours of 207mph? I cant see it going past 200 myself.

I would have thought 180/190ish, certainly not 200mph plus.

Hey

If you are based near birmingham we can help

Thanks acid

I think 186mph is the 'derestricted' limit you get with the Performance Pack. It's what the press cars did at launch.

To help the ESP issue you are having a Quaife diff and a lowering module will help with traction.

We can also help with the de-limit.

Just checked and it is, exactly the same speed for all AMGs.

Interesting. I'll post up info when I go to Germany.

If yours doesn't have the performance pack it'll 'only' be 155, if it's the 186 despite not having it you might want to check its history more closely :)

I have read rumours that our cars are actually 496hp when standard rather than the quoted 476hp due to the SL needing to look better due to the price/top of the range status but are in fact absolutely identically engined, like I said it was rumours though.

I see, yeah I know what they are limited to but I'm going to have my limiter taken off. Hence wondering the top speed if not governed. I believe that it should be around 190

Top speeds

Top speeds are all well and good as long as the aerodynamics have been incorporated in the car to cope with them. I say this as I had a customer who nearly killed himself in a de-restricted AMG E55 W210 as it practically took off at a very high speed on a motorway . He was very fortunate indeed to survived !

I was under the assumption that part of the reason they are factory restricted is for such a reason.

Not sure if the aerodynamics on more modern chasisis are designed to cope with suchhigh speeds .....

At 160 my old 202 feels fine. At 150 it's has a little flash from the ESP but then it soldiers on.

I know of guys doing 186mph in their ml63's

Could be interesting.

Not a speed I'd like to do in an M class..... unless I was on a very very long runway.
