124 300D 24V Estate
So after having a 210 Estate for a while, followed by a C250 Estate (for sale soon) I went back to my first love.

A 124 Estate 3.0 24v Diesel.

This one popped up on ebay and sold twice but was never picked up, twice. It has been now though, I did not buy it a the full "fall of hammer" price.

And many thanks to my buddy Ian Walker for running me across to Yorkshire to pick it up.

Now if anyone just happens to have a "facelift" blue leather interior for an estate. Give me a call please.

There is just something about a 124 Estate that floats my boat. Here she is.:D:bannana::thumb:

You will note the previous "fettler"/dealer/chancer got his carp bottom half respray somewhat wrong. Check out the colour mismatch on the bumpers compared to the bottom plastic door panels. I have to say though as these wonders of engineering get less and less at least this one has found a happy home. The engine and gear box are spot on and it has working cruise control.

Zebrano "wood" is starting to grow on me a little. Though I could swop that for a different finish in time.

Our son has just purchased a petrol version and is really pleased with it. Congrats.

Shrewd choice by the son. Not guided by the father at all Im thinking. :D

Very nice! I like that a lot.

Are you planning to colour code all of the panels?

Yes back to original spec.

It will be a bottom up bringing it back to standard. So all the bits underneath will get the attention before any paint. Im really looking forward to this one.

Nice one John.

124s are definitely your 'thing'.

Lovely Jubbly! :thumb:

Very nice. ;)

Great car mate, you did the right thing...
Looking forward to seeing it in August, maybe? :thumb:

S124 Diesels are very rare here in Germany, so enjoy this lovely peace of metal :bannana:

Hoping you and your travelling friends can find time to drop by and have a look at it. It would be great to see you all.

Face it TJ, you're just an old dinosaur at heart!

:D

Not 'arf. First track on the CD - Albatross by Fleetwood Mac as a tribute to the ride of a 124 Estate that was quickly followed by a kickdown to Golden Earring - Radar Love, then a proper treat Autobahn by kraftwork. Didn't have any Bachman Turner Overdrive with me !!

Now if I can just find a centre role top box suitable for blue interior that would be a start.

Nice one John! Has Liz noticed it yet?....... :D

Not sure what you meant by top box, but don't forget I have a roof box you are welcome to borrow at any time should you need it (will only be used by us when we go camping a few times a year)

Edit: Oops - just realised you meant a storage box between the seats?
