Why no 350 CGI 212?

That's the the business. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm after. Mileage is suspiciously low. Ideally wanting a 12/62 plate.

I think I must broaden my searching beyond auto trader then!

I have the M276 3.5L in estate guise.

Lovely thing, but got black interior which I don't like.

I had the E350cdi before with the light interior which was much nicer to sit in, but the 3.5 petrol more than makes up for it.

I can't believe so few were sold, I think it is ignorance regarding MPG that puts people off.

Mine is averaging 30mpg and sees 35+ on a run, overall 10% behind the diesel.

I'm averaging 21mpg and struggle to stay above 30mpg on a run.

As you've had the 350CDI too, the 265bhp I assume? Is the petrol really that much better? I've been trying to sell myself on the 350 diesel due to the rarity of the 350 petrol, but I don't really like diesels and love the characteristics of my 3L petrol.

I think your car is the earlier, M272 engine? Which is a fair bit thirstier.

Also, is yours the 7g+ gearbox? That helps MPG a bit, maybe 1-2mpg.

Yeah, M272, later than the dodgy timing gear models fortunately. You're right that's why I want the CGI, it's pretty similar, but more power and less thirst seems perfect.

I don't think it's the 7G+, just the 7G. I think that changed in about 2010/12?

Given how I frequently "enjoy" the engine and only commute 10 miles towards the city centre I'm more than impressed with my current average.
