Hi

For some reason my Touch wont accept the network key for my Sky Broadband router, if i disable the security it works. However, with the security turned on it keeps rejecting the key.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tan

The key is already just normal letters.

Does the upper and lower case make a difference, I remember something similar with my friend iPod Touch.

Upper and lower case always makes a difference with security keys, as it uses a hash of the bytes the characters are stored as, and doesn't care about the character itself.

Also from experience, the touch can't do 802.1x, but I doubt you're using that at home. It also may not do WPA2 but I'd need to check the spec sheet for this.

Off the top of my head it does WEP, WPA & WPA2.

Mike

It must just be the 802.1x stuff it can't do then. Certainly doesn't work with our 802.1x + WPA2 secured network at work ;)
