Evening

My wiper blade has started to leave a 2-3 inch gap conveniently located in front of the driver's line of sight, probably due to the recent frost, so I need a replacement.

My dealer made me laugh by quoting £25 + vat so I've just been having a look online for the Bosch alternatives, but I'm confused.

This seems to be the right one: Bosch Super Plus - Wiper Blade 24 - Mercedes Benz C CLASS

So does this: Wiper Blade Shop :: Bosch Wiper Blades :: 24" (600mm) Bosch Super Plus Wiper Blade – WBB24 but without the 'MB' suffix.

Here's another one from the same place: Wiper Blade Shop :: Bosch Wiper Blades :: 24" (600mm) Bosch Super Plus Wiper Blade - Spoiler Fit – WBB24S but with a spoiler!

I have tried looking on the Bosch website, but it's hopeless. Can anyone tell me which is the best option for my car? It's a '98 car if that helps.

Cheers

Ebay. The one piece jobbies are brill.Got one for mine £6.38 inc. Last one was on for 2 years. MERCEDES C-CLASS W202 93-00 WINDSCREEN FLAT WIPER BLADE on eBay (end time 11-Jan-10 13:39:52 GMT)

They look like the ones I'm replacing, after about 1 year. I thought I'd give the more obvious ones a chance this time, assuming that the Bosch ones are the same as MB but without the 3 pointed star / markup!

Anyone know if the Bosch 'MB' ones are specific to my car, or are the standard ones okay? Are Bosch ones best, or ebay flat blade, or MB?

Thanks

On my W202 I use the flatblade from ebay and have been doing so for the past couple of years. (Replacing them every year)

They are cheap, do the job well, and however expensive wiper blades are, you really don't get more than a year's decent use out of them anyway.

I use the cheap ebay aero ones too and find them great. They seem to last longer than the normal type.

One thing a lot of people either forget or simply don't know. You should clean wiper blades regularly. I always wipe mine down when washing the car and the amount of dirt that comes off it is shocking.

I also clean it with autoglym glass polish whenever i do the windows. It really does make a massive difference to the performance of the blade.

I agree 100%, I have also found on both my W202's, the wiper operation is smoother quieter, and noticably faster too, though quite how that is not sure but probably due to the motor being under lighter load as there must be a bit of wieght difference between a standard Bosch item and the cheap Ebay items.
