Wrong offset wheels

I have a set of 17 inch 3 piece split rims that came off my neiughbours Merc SL600 1997 model. I want to fit these onto a 1997 S500 but i know the offset on my wheels are ET37 (round about there) and the AMGs are ET18.
Will these fit on mine or do i need spacers or won't they fit at all?
If i need spacers does anyone know where i can get them from?

The SL takes the same wheels as the S from the same generation so they should fit. Just bolt one on and take a look!

They are not ideal, and spacers would make the offset lower, stick out further...so even worse.

The 140's have such big arches they may go anyway...

As shude says, slap them on and see.
