Hi all,
I have am ML270 CDI 04 plate that i recently purchased. I was giving it a good clean on the inside as i dont think the previous owners cleaned it in the 3 years they owned it! I found that the accelerator pedal has alot of movement from side to side. Has anyone has a similar issue...
The accelerator on my 1999 E 200 is jerky and not nearly as smooth as it should be. I've lubricated the short length of cable and the linkage on the RH side of the bulkhead, but no better. Anybody out there able to help?:(
Have noticed recently, as the weather has got colder/damper, that my accelerator pedal is a little unpredictable - occasionally I go to pull away and it bites a lot earlier, almost causing whiplash to any unsuspecting passenger!! :D
As I say, with the road surface being colder/wet it is...
Hi, looking for a part number or exploded diagram for the wiring which connects to the accelerator pedal. I stupidly left my dog in the front of my van and now the wires are no-more!!,GUTTED. :( Any help appreciated, cheers
Hello All,
I am turning to you all in a now desperate attempt to get my w124 E200 (M111 engine, 4 speed auto box) estate running properly after many failed attempts and foxed mechanics.
While this may at first seem like a normal M111 idling problem, I can’t find anything else quite like it...

I know it's my first AMG, early doors & all that and I've had other fairly quick motors in the past. However, I'm really struggling to pull away without causing myself whiplash!!
Problem being that it takes quite some pressing before it bites & then bites like nothing else I've ever...
Hi,
My car is E250 CGI W212 with AMG sport package. There is a small box at the side of the accelerator pedal base with wires running into the carpet. The wires are not contain in any conduit. Is this how it looks like straight from the factory ? What is the small box? Appreciate it if someone...
Does any one know the correct part number for the W168 Accelerator Official MBclub peddle mod.? W168 is not listed on the original official link.
Part number I have is: A168 300 0082, but it is for a LHD W168 and the cut out for the accelerator arm/linkage is on the left hand side instead...
hi Guys
I have a C180 Kompressor (July 2006) - W203?.
When I accelerate i get a whirling/whining noise. It increases and seems to come from the passenger side under the bonnet, the faster i go the noiser it gets. It sounds like a piece of paper caught in a fan (not flapping though). As soon...
I had a look at some similar threads using the search function, and it seems like others experience the "stiff throttle pedal" on their W124s as well.
It's the common problem of it being stuck at one point, when you are trying to push it down gently.
I tried spraying WD40 on the throttle...
I've carried out the reset procedure which absolutely does make a difference, but it's short term until the car re-learns. Consequently I'm interested in fitting a Sprint Booster. Yes, I know they're grossly over priced for what they are but if one can give me the sort of throttle pedal feel I...
I'm a bit of a fanatic about my cars and like to know them inside out. So, having purchased a 2007 SL350 I also managed to get an original brochure and price list from eBay. I noticed in the price list, listed amongst the standard equipment is adaptive accelerator pedal. I can't find mention of...
Hi
I recently bought another car (not a MB) and then noticed that the accelerator on my W202 C200 Elegance Auto is stiff and also has play in it. I have to press the accelerator quite long way before the car gets any power. After that everything appears to be allright.
Any suggestions...
Got a new problem cropped up.....!
I was sat the traffic lights and realised I was in the wrong lane. When the lights changed to green I floored it to get into the correct lane. I then slowed to a normal driving speed.
Now the problem -
when I press the accelerator, the car doesnt respond...
Hi - my accelerator pedal has gone quite 'jerky' likely due to the plastic pivot point behind the pedal being dry. I squirted it with 3-in-1 but that quickly dried up and I'm back to square one. I want to take it off and put some grease in there, it's difficult to do that while its in place...
Hello all,
I am new to this forum and could use your help. I am an experienced shade tree mechanic but only on American and some Japanese vehicles. Never worked on a Mercedes.
My mother in law's 1983 380SEC developed an intermittent problem. While driving down the highway, the car suddenly...
The accelerator pedal in my 1994 W124 E220 seems a bit stiff and heavy. Is this a common problem and if so whats the best way to solve it. I assume theres something to to lubricate or adjust but advice on where or what would be appreciated.
Having suffered low Broadband speeds for many years I came across an advert for the BT Accelerator the other day...basically this cleans up any interference on your line and this helps to boost broadband speed. As a BT customer, it was only going to cost be the price of postage so I went for it...
Why does the accelerator pedal on a W209 (or other models for that matter) have what is best described as an extended travel?
Let me explain... if I press the accelerator to the floor... not that I do that while the car is in motion, you understand  it stops, but if pressed a wee bit more...
