I need an air flow mass meter for my W210 2002 model E-Class but I don't want an after market one because I've had one and it packed up within 6 months.
So the question is what brand is the genuine one? not Mercedes I believe it's Bosch but I'm not sure.
Caught sight of my first Critical Mass London bike ride of 2012 last night.
Although I've never been on one (and can't see I ever will), I love to catch sight of one these monthly spectacles as they make their way northwards from the South Bank. They are generally very well organised, with a...
Hello all,
My beloved C270 started to lose power intermittently last week and, having looked at this forum, I thought it sounded like the MAF sensor was on the way out and the car was going in and out of limp mode as a result (not revving beyond 2000rpm ish). It's been into the garage today...
or snake oil?
Thinking of buying this as I am getting slight hesitation:
CRC Air Sensor Clean Mass Air Flow Cleaner MAF UK Stock | eBay
Its only a tenner and given that the car has done over 100k, its not going to do it any harm.. or is it?
Hi
I need a new Air Mass meter for my C200 and wanted to know if anyone could point me to a supplier. I'm considering an ebay copy part that's up for £40 quid, any views on these?
Thanks!
would anyone know what a decent reading for an air mass meter is on a c270 (w203) CDi ? I'm getting about 400 g/s at idle then 600 when full throttle, either of which readings I think are suspect, and the car is suffering with a real bad lack of power. Although there is no boost pressure i think...
I'm new to this (Merc Forum) and am not a mechanic but I need a little advice from people who are more knowledgeable than I. I have an orange warning light on my dashboard, which is an engine symbol. It's been there for a while now; Mercedes in Dusseldorf cleared it and so did Mercedes in...
Hello everybody. I have just had my Engine ECU repaired by "ECU testing".
The air mass was faulty. I sent it away on the Monday and had it back on Thursday morning. It was, inclusive of delivery £195 all in so better than a control unit replacement at £1000+. The car is running great now. No...
I've had two occasions recently when the turbo seemed to be non-existent and a simple switch-off and re-start brought everything back to normal.
This hasn't happened for about 8 weeks now but my Indy Merc pal tells me that the Air Mass Meter (if that's the right name) might well be on the way...
Hi I have a a C240 and car drives fine up till I get to around 4000-5000 revs it will not go pass like it has a limiter on it! Is this the air mass meter that knackered or not if so how much and where is the best place to get one
Thanks Danny
Do all or some C250TD's have a DMF (and if some don't how do you distinguish them from cars with DMF fitted?) and how reliable are they? Has anyone had experience of them?
I thought the most fool proof M.B C250TD would be a manual one, but maybe not if they have a dual mass flywheel eh!
Any...
My W140 needs an air mass meter on the right bank (as you look at the engine from the front of the car), in your experiences is it worth buying a proper Bosch unit or would a much cheaper one from EuroCarParts do the same job just as well?
From memory the difference is Bosch £240 and ECP £80...
I'm looking to do a service and was thinking of replacing the air mass meter as so many threads on here say it can affect the running. However, I can't seem to find it! I've looked at the haynes manual but i can't seem to see anything similar which has a plug attached to it. I'm probably...
