Hi,
I have a W203 C180k Avantgarde with 17" alloys, 245s on the back and 225s on the front. Currently wearing Michelin Pilot Sports. Have had no complaints about them.
Fronts are getting thin and I need to think about replacing them. Rears still have 5mm tread so will be a few thousand...
Came across my first review of Michelin EASYGRIP aramide? type snow "chains"while doing another search. It would appear performance wise they fall between true snow chains and the snow sock type of traction aid as you might expect!

They lasted 1 year and 1 month and just 11,000 miles on the rear. I don't rag the car either. I thought I'd get a bit more life than that
I shall be looking at either winter tyres before a switch to 18" wheels next year or a set of "top end" budgets such as Kumho.
Rear has approx 3mm tread 275 35 19
Front has approx 6mm tread 245 40 19
Both in excellent condition - taking up space in the garage so not looking for mega bucks but far too good to ditch.
Could get around £130 on ebay without too much trouble, but email me with a sensible offer and...
A few months back I had a bad puncture and ran on the rim of the alloy.
I don't gamble with wheels and tyre's so I got a new alloy from Nick Mercedes at Euromerc.
My Original alloys were put to shame by the new one from Nick so the search began to find a wheel refurbisher who could replicate...

Just a quick note to say that I have been quite impressed/pleased with the Michelin PS2 tyres that I fitted to the CLK55 last year.
I don't make a habit of taking the CLK out in the rain often, but coming back from Brooklands earlier on I got caught in an almighty downpour of rain - literally...
I appreciate that traditional wisdom says that £600 worth of Michelins should be better than a set of Kumhos, however, my w203 has just worn out a set of Michelins more quickly than expected and provided me with 0.00 % grip in all this cold weather. In contrast my wife's kia has Kumhos on it as...
Tyres give a performance / wear premium that makes spending another £60 a corner worthwhile?
I can buy Falken 452 for say, £91 fitted. The same guy will fit Michelin PS2 for £150 a corner.
Given that I don't speed, but like to corner enthusiastically, is the Michelin going to perform that...
I'll soon be buying 4no Michelin 235 X 45 X 17 tyres for my W210.
I hear good reports about Falken tyres etc but I have a lot of faith in Michelin tyres (even our Sprinter sports these) so that's what I'll go for.
I use Costco and until February 18th they have a 20% discount on Michelin...

Michelin Pilot Sport 245 40 19 on eBay (end time 15-Jul-09 16:37:51 BST)
Cheap as chips considering the prices of the others. If a forum member wins it I'll do the postage for £6 if you let me know your forum name.
Cheers

Had some Michelin Primacy HP 225/50R16's with V speed rating on order with Costco for about 3 mths - don't really need them yet, but ordered tyres all round to get 20% off. They had the fronts, which I needed, in stock.
So Costco call today (they've called a few times and offered to refund...
Running Michelin Pilot low profiles on my W208. Seem to have a flat spot at 60kmph... Any way to fix this? Also, what are the recommended pressures for these tyres? Any advice appreciated.
As I have replaced all of my tyres due to the rears being very low I have a pair of part worn Michelin Pilot Exalto in 225/40/18 size
These have 4mm on both and I'm looking for £60 for the pair.. I can bring to the Gaydon event if your going.... There are no puncture repairs or damage to any...
Sold my car so no use for them now, details on the link

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between
Michelin Primacy Pilots
and
Michelin Primacy Pilots MO (Mercedes Fitment)
According to my local tyre place, he thinks they are the same and its just some marketing scam to increase the price....
Does anyone know?
Thanks
I see KwikFit are offering this discount again - 15% off of 2 tyres - 25% off of 4. I know they're expensive to start with but this discount makes them the cheapest I've seen and they're doing MoTs (booked online) for £45 and aircon re-gas for the same.
I was thinking of Pirelli PZero Rossos...
