Has anyone noticed that on the W220 V8 (Maybe others as well) in front of the Air intake pipes, the grill is solid plastic, 1st pic. Surely if you got cold air straight into the airbox it would improve performance, or MPG for no cost, I cut away both sides, 2nd pic. I haven't driven the car...

The doors on the CLC are the same as the w203 coupe. Therefore the door mirror seats must be the same as a w203 saloon. Therefore the CLC arrow mirrors might fit a w203? Can anyone photo shop this mod? Comments welcome.
