Who's out there with a c63 from lancashire or Cumbria?

Does anyone know how a keyless-go gear knob can be dismantled i.e removing the leather part and taking out the central plastic core? I want to fit a different wooden component but still want the original leather, functions and button/wording to remain etc. Thanks in advance, Matt :thumb:

i have a 2007 ml63 and when reversing with full lock on the tyres seem to sort of scrub the tarmac as if either the diff isnt working or is it just the lock is very tight and the tyres are 295 wide? doesnt appear to do this on full lock going forward. thanks
