Just read in autoexpress that according to the AA insures take a dim view if you are convicted of using a mobile whilst in charge of a vehicle - many will load the premium and one company will not offer cover.
Do you think that is overkill being punished twice or do you agree with that..
Had a brush with the tarmac today on the Brixton road... my bike came together with a ford fiesta van and I feel quite lucky to be back in the office typing this...
Classic 'didn't see you' t-bone - fiesta pulled out of a side road, stopped and then started again just as I was passing, luckily...
Well, 2 actually.............
To finally round off the "whats the difference between the C and S mode" debate, I have only just noticed that even when in C mode and the car is stone cold, it reverts back to using all 5 gears - at least until its got slighty warm. It then goes back again to...
Interested to hear your thoughts on the 'Ipod connection' some of you may have on your new Mercs. Before buying my wife's A class I read several reviews in magazines (Top Gear etc) which claimed all new Mercedes are Ipod compatible. I should have checked this out better before buying the car but...

Hi guys,
Many of you will be thinking this is a stupid question, but where is the jack point on a Shogun V63000 ?
On most cars there is a clearly marked position but on my girlfriends 4x4 there is no indication where to ut the jack.
I have a bottle jack with a concaved cup at the top. It...
...Now owning a BMW (cue MBClub senior members booing and hissing :p ), I've joined many a BMW forum over the last 4-5 weeks. There's an instant difference in how people act and behave on those forums to this one...I posted 3 posts, 1 on each forum regarding a fuel pump...not one reply. In...
I was thinking of trying out the old 27Mhz CB radio, but was wondering where to get an easy 12v connection and earth, without pulling the dashboard apart, and wires all over the place. (Will use an external mag mount for the ariel).
Any electric experts got any ideas on best 12v and earth...
I have W202 and my windscreen wiper sticks roughly at the midpoint (top) of windscreen when it's used, then for no apparent reason works ok, then a little while later sticks. What I mean is that it slows right down as if its being dragged through treacle.
I am afraid that it might burn out the...
Please help me - I think I am missing something here...
A lorry on the M11 lost its tyre last night: BANG! the shredded tyre carcass went straight through the lower part of the radiator of my wife's C-Class.
She pulls over: all the 'Coolant Loss' warnings are flashing. Kids are crying...
In the owner's manual of my CLK 55, it mentions a 'pressure point' on the accelerator when talking about kickdown. To me, this implies there is something mechanical going-on when the accelerator pedal is pushed beyond a certain point. However, I would've thought that kickdown would be invoked in...

Hi All
What I mean is - why don't I listen to what I am told.
I asked a question a few weeks ago and was advised what to do.
So today I decided to change the drive belt, got the old one off very easily, without removing the fan. Threaded the new one in using a shoelace!
The belt sort of...
What is the safest and best way of getting a power point in the boot. I would like to plug my coolbox in there out of the way on my touring holiday. i thought there may be one already but i havent found one. Any ideas please. ;)
Some of you recall that i posted a couple of weeks ago in a very pi$$ed off mood about my rear bumpers being scuffed by some monkey drivers (on two separted occasions) a mere one month after i had that the bumpers fully and proffessionaly sanded, repainted and lacqured.
This morning i woke...
