W202 C250D DLC connector pins and reading fault codes

Does anyone know how to check the fault codes on a C250D W202 1995 model. My autodata CD seems to imply you can do it with a switch and a LED connected across some of the DLC pins, but this method seems not to work :( I am in High Wycombe, is anyone nearby who can read the fault codes...

    Reading SMS on COMAND

I have a W204 with COMAND. In the manual it says I can read my texts on the screen. This is true, but it can only display texts within the "SIM Message" folder. All the texts I receive do not go onto this folder. Nokia say the SIM Message is for service messages sent by the network. Is there...

    Burn After Reading

For those who like to look out for classic mercs in films, the new Cohen brothers film, Burn After Reading, features John Malkovich driving a cream-coloured 123 series 240 turbodiesel. Despite the fairly poor reviews, I really enjoyed the film.

    External temp reading glitches

I've just bought a 1994 E320 cabrio. The external temp reading is all over the place - goes up and down 10 degrees every few seconds. It isn't a big deal but if I wanted to sort it is this likely to be a problem with the external sensor? If so where is it sited, can you get replacements, are...
