    Megs Ultimate wash n wax

I use quite a bit of the Meguiars range, which I know is quite popular with forum members. I'm nearly out of car wash, so I was thinking of trying their latest variant, Ultimate Wash n Wax. Has anybody here tried it? On some of the other sites I visit, the reviews have not been overly positive...

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year to you all! I now have a DAS 6 Polisher with 3 pads - compound, polishing & finishing. Now i know this sounds like a stupid question, but as a 'machin-polish newbie', is it a pre-wax that goes onto the polishing pad with wax on the finishing pad??!! I have some...

    What wax for silver cars?

Although my car came up looking rather nice after I washed/clayed/waxed it - the wax wasn't hard wearing enough. http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/detailing-mbclub/88238-clk-w208-silver-after-3-hours-cleaning.html I used Zymol cleaner wax. I also found it a git to get off, as it dries rather...

Spots of wax on convertible roof

Hi I treated by SL to a machine polish the other month. Unfortunatly this has left the convertable roof with some small splatter dots of wax. Does anyone have any advice on what to use on it to get rid of the dots? I've tried; - rubbing with stiff brush - stiff brush and white...

Whats the best way to apply/remove mid range wax

Im looking to possibly replendish my supply of megs gold class liquid wax but looking on various forums etc the CG XXX Hardcore wax seems to be pretty hot stuff for a great price. My only query with getting a paste as opposed to a liquid is that it cant be applied by a DA but can it be buffed...

Shell £6.99 wax and wash drive through

Tried this last week and despite typical Manchester weather for a week my car is still shiny and clean. If you are lazy like me I can recommend this. I know these other products that you put on yourself will produce better results but I think the Shell drive-through is pretty good.

    Dodo Juice Light Fantastic Wax

As the CL is gone, I have no use for this wax (Dodo Juice Light Fantastic) as it is formulated for light coloured cars, especially silver (as the CL was). The current runabout is dark green. The effect is stunning - and while you get the odd looks when using bare hands (I know, I did not...

    Dinitrol Wax Stuff

Hi All, Something that intrigued me while reading another thread. Do cars designed by computer embody enough spare metal for a product of this type to work properly? The reason I ask is that cars now have few water traps that can be "treated" by such products. Sure, panels can be coated...

Aqua Wax by Auto Glym - a revelation

Just bought an Aqua Wax pack having had it demonstrated at a local motor show - what a revelation. You spray it on to a wet, just washed car, rub it in with one cloth and buff off with a second. Fantastic  On our very dark metallic RX8 washing the car was always aggro in trying to get...

    Turtle Wax Ice.

I used this new product yesterday and can say it's good, I fell for the advertising hype , it doesn't often happen . I particularly liked the way it can be used on plastics and chrome same time as the bodywork :D. I usually use Autoglymm Super Resin Polish, that polishes off easier...

    Wax on, Wax off....

Today, for the first time ever, I used wax on my car :) Collonite 915. First washed it then a quick squirt of Ultimate detailer and then the wax. Must say I was pleasantly surprised how easily it went on, used a damp sponge. Even more surprised how quicklly it was ready to be buffed off...

Anyone used Zymol Carbon Wax (or similar recommendations?)

Hi everyone, In readyness for the spring, I'm looking to treat the 2.5-16 to a good clean up and wax. Generally in good condition from previous care but I'd like to try a proper wax this time. Have previously dabbled with many of the high street brands but I'm considering something better...
