06 R171 COMAND APS map update failure

Hello, everyone

I have purchased the latest NTG1 maps v.11 (genuine MB disk) p/n A211 827 33 65 to replace v 5.0 version maps A211 827 68 59 (genuine disk).

When I load the new disk, initially, the software update screen appears, the top bar "Complete progress" shows ~ 10%, bottom bar "Partial progress" shows ~ 50% and then update does not complete and a message "No DVD Please insert Navigation DVD (boot)" appears.

From what I understand, all necessary firmware updates should be included on this new map disc...

If I re-insert v.5.1 maps the software loads normally and Navigation operates as expected. The STAR readout on NAVI says:

HW version 16.2005
SW version 42.2005
Diagnostics version 1/194

Any help or thoughts will be gratefully received!

Simple answer to this - the new disk was a knock off and did not load properly for that reason

eBay - looked absolutely authentic though
