Derek I can assure you that my dog, does not mess anything up, she does moult, but that is fine with leather and a hoover.

Fair comment , and no offence intended , but from having had dogs of various sizes in the past we have had interiors messed up and even damaged , between scuffing with claws and even chewing :( At one time we had a series 1 Land Rover and that was the only vehicle the dogs went in .

My 190 2.6 came from a dog owning family and I remember having to remove the seats and filling the vacuum twice with dog hairs then having to wet clean the seats and carpets before I got rid of the smell .

No offence taken, I can't think of anything worse than a wagon that is taken over by the dog, not cleaned etc.:D
 
I am thinking of parting with my 500SE W140 with genuine 43k miles, not the cheapest but one of the best. PM me if of any interest.
