This is a strange one:

Both my sun visors have a vanity mirror and the light in the roof lining comes on, but only on the drivers side?

Swapped both lamp holders around although both do work on the drivers side only and both bulbs work fine.

Both sides have 12v+ present when the flap is open and goes when you press the micro switch as if the flap was closed, as it should do.

Passenger side has 12v+ positive supply present at the connector and when lamp holder is connected I do not get a 12v+ reading anymore? Do this on the drivers side with the same lamp holder and 12v+ is present.

WTF is going on here? I am fairly experienced with electronics but I am puzzled here completely.

Puzzled,
Steve...

High impedance supply will do what you are describing. Test it with a testlamp not a dvm.
I think those lights are fed from an electronic module so that is where I would be looking next.
Sorry, can't help further than that.

Did you sort this. Have exactly same issue .
