190E power steering fluid

My W201's power steering make a graunchy noise at low speed. I checked the PAS reservoir and it's almost empty. What's the appropriate fluid to use to top it up? I checked the owner's handbook and there's no mention of PAS fluid. Is PAS fluid the same as ATF?

Yes, they use normal ATF in the power steering system.
