My year 2000 W210 E320 CDI Elegance Estate has just failed the MOT on one item. Both rear suspension springs are snapped at the usual place close to the end of the spring, thus lowering the car a bit.

So, I've gone out and got a pair of KYB K-Flex RA1930. Just a black colour spring with no colour coding.

This E320 is 'fully loaded' when it comes to extras but, the important thing is that the car has an auto transmission, seven seats conversion and I carry some heavy kit about in it -mainly over country lanes.

I'm being a good lad these days and not doing the 120 mph on the dual carriageway. I'm going to tame my wildness and stick to the speed limits now I'm fifty-four.

Do you reckon these springs will be alright? The guy at the auto factors took the car registration number and then gave me the model options: 'elegance estate' etc.

So, I think I've done the right thing while in a rush and not crossing town to M B for the proper springs (supposedly).

I paid £82.49 inc VAT for the pair.

The garage will fit them.

Do I need anything else re fittings etc?

Regards
