Hi all
can anyone tell me where the AM aerial amplifier is located in a 2002 c270cdi saloon?
the only thing I have been able to find are 2 blocks near the rear screen above the headliner
the reason I'm asking is due to really really bad AM reception..especially when the ignition is at position 2 FM is good but I've noticed the radio does not seem too great reception FM (ie radio 2 drove fron Essex to Nottingham ) once you travel some distance
I want to test continuity of the aerial wire from radio to connector before the amplifier..
I will try a different aerial..(amplified) I beleive I will have to use the radio aerial aux feed from connector 3 at the back of my audio 10?
if that then proves ok,then
It could also be where the previous owner had tinted window film put on the rear screen I'm wondering if the wire connector into the screen itself were cut when they've trimmed the film.
anyone help with info ??

Hi, I have the same problem for my 2007 C200K (W204) but in searching came across a diagram for the previous model, W203 which I guess will cover your car. It shows the aerial amp and wiring located under the headlining at the top of the rear window.
I have also read about tinting material affecting radio reception which may be true since the aerial is embeded in the actual glass of the rear screen. I cannot find the location where I downloaded the diagram but I'm happy to share it with you if we can find a way.
