2003 UK sl500 washer bottle. Wing off???

I've noticed that the washer bottle, when filled, drains down and floods the floor under the car. I saw the overflow pipe was sticking up above the height of the filler neck and that, when pulled, was not connected to anything. I assume some dimwit designed an overflow that drains half the fluid off if the pipe was pulled. How do you get at it? I tried unscrewing (torx head) the side grille panel but it wouldn't budge.

Never had this sort of problem with my Morris Minor.

Normally you need to take the wheelarch liners out to get to these bits.

OT - bumper removal on an R129 - 15 minutes. Removal on a DB7 - 4 hours .

Morris Minor? 30 Seconds to take the 2 nuts off.

So, I've got to take the wing off to refit a rubber tube into the washer bottle? Might be better to just carry a bottle of Evian and a rag.

Anyone got a pic/diagram showing where the overflow pipe goes/fits? I've got very small hands and.....
