CLS SB looks best in dark colours, without the privacy glass.

The more I see them (especially the AMG), the more I like them.

I hate privacy glass with a passion, it's not as if we have that much sunlight in the UK!!!

On Agility, currently a significant Retailer Deposit Contribution of £10230 on CLS 250Cdi Shooting Brake and £11,315 on equivalent Coupe model: near enough 25% of the OTR price.

Have they increased the rear haunches? They look absolutely huge!

Agree on the privacy glass,- will be old hat in a few years except for the rude boys.

rather than tweak headlights every few years they should be fixing the unreliable parts!

Only vanity and trying to push sales is the reason to change.

So many of us on here see beauty in old models and would be happy with those with improved efficiency and reliability.

Judging by the finance offers available, and comments made by a salesman I trust at my local dealership, the CLS hasn't been a good seller so far. It's pitched at a significant premium over the E-Class and it would seem that the number of purchasers who are willing to pay that premium is small. Maybe the minor facelift is in an effort to stimulate sales?

Shame, because it's still a nice car :(

I think what also may be harming the sales of the CLS against the E-class, is the original CLS looked significantly different and sportier than the e-class especially with the grill mounted MB star, however to the untrained eye the CLS and the E-class now look quite similar from the front has both have grill mounted stars.

I see they've gone for the iPad stuck on a dash look like the new C class for the Command too. Not totally convinced of this design approach. Might as well do a better job and actually fit an iPad ;)

Not really sure about this huge plasticky front bumper which serves no specific practical purpose. As already stated above, it makes the CLS and the E class look alike.

I really hope they are not going to adopt the upright screen used across the lower range... It is so out of keeping with the rest of the otherwise settled interior.

2015 Mercedes CLS spied almost undisguised

Basically you can see what the front bumper will look like and the headlights are changed.

From the article:
Looking almost production ready, the new facelifted CLS has been equipped with aggressive bumpers which could suggest this spied car features an AMG package. Regardless, we can also see a revised grille and modified head- and taillights.

Noticed the cover over the command screen, that and the matter of the front looking very similar to the baby brother CLA doesn't make me lose too much sleep having just bought a new one.

I do wonder if the CLS might get phased out beyond this facelift....

Thanks for posting.

Mark, please check the News section of the forum. You keep reposting news :thumb:

Still got those nasty rear arch humps that they've had the sense to remove from other cars that were blighted with them.

Went to Germany last week, Nurburgring>Neckarsulm (R8 factory)>Stuttgart and get the impression the CLS isn't popular with German buyers. Only saw two, one mkI and one mkII, see plenty of both in this country.

I like the early original ones best of all...
