Hi

I have made it after a long wait 300,000 miles, the moment captured going up the side of Loch Lomond on Sunday evening heading for Glencoe Ski.

300,000 miles

Exactly why I decided on the 3.0 diesel. Hopefully in a few years I'll be posting a similar picture (currently on 486 miles, but only 5 days old).
Testement to the build quality of the V6 Merc

I've seen a picture of that Silver W210. Great looking motor and it looks like new.

Well done. :thumb:

Nicely run in :thumb:

Cheers,

Gaz

Nice, and a wonderful location to hit it in. next time your in the area PM me, can go for a beer and natter MBs

Proper job :thumb:

My disco hit 100,000 the other day, felt like its birthday or something.

Nice one! the last 2k must have seemed like hard work (took for ages)

It did!!, 290k was 16 months ago http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/general-discussion/59116-230k-hits-290k.html at its peak (useage) the car would have covered 50,000 miles in that time.
I even comtemplated picking the right motorway location so that the car would be doing 70mph like most of the other milestones but just let it happen and it was on the roadwork/traffic light controlled part of the road to Crainlarach from Glasgow along the side of Loch Lomond.

Thanks,

If the snow remains at Glencoe i could be up there again in a little over 2 weeks time so i may well give you a shout.

Thanks,

Excellent, I hope I'll be able to get a shot of my speedo, when it hits a milestone figure like that one. Chances are I'll probably have a passenger in the back, heading into town on the M4, so I won't be able to do it.

I did manage to get a photo when mine hit 190,000 the other day. :p

some engine for one engine.... my 2003 w203 was just turning the 100000mile mark, was waitin for aggggggeeeessss for it and the feckin passenger wouldnt stop talking and i end up missing it.... only saw it a 100002miles :( :(. still though the 300diesel is good for plenty more. hope she goes well :)

if you fancy meeting up, i'd be up for it aswell. Mine's on 215k now and counting quickly!

You do realise that you now have to keep your 210 until you get to 500,000 miles. I just I kept that old 124 estate I had now as that was a great old smoke and would has easily done a lot more.

This is a very reassuring thread. A very close family friend owns a '98 W210 E300TD. Owned it since 2003 @ 74k. Its very easy to eat up the miles in that machine, it just goes, and goes, and goes ....... and goes. I think time is likely to stop before these motors do lol
