A AMG/Merc meet sometime

I can do any day too. Let's make it a big one!

Would be great if we found some place to sit and eat as well. Just a suggestion.

There's a great Burger joint at Bluewater

LOL! I don't mind :D Trouble is everything closes @ 8pm. It was voiced a few times that we should gather at the restaurant of some sort. I second this idea.

I did watch a chap leave the track on a Jonathan Palmer race day. He disappeared into a wheat field in an almost comedic style. We watched as the dust cloud as it ripped into the field before emerging 100 yards further down as a Caterham covered in wheat. He did say afterwards that he thought of braking but before he could he was back out in daylight.
That's the difference between a racing driver and a rally driver.

When a racing driver leaves the track they brake, a rally driver accelerates.

I'd be up for Ace Cafe - a new venue for this club perhaps!

well as its only 5 mins from me 2, id be in for Ace cafe !!

Another AMG meet bites the dust.

They as people IMHO pick the wrong meets....

There was a great tour round Yorkshire thats made for fun fast cars and there is my most excellent driving tour of Scotland that again is made for big fun fast cars.

Why go to a shopping center when they could do a proper weekend and meet the rest of us.....

Would that cost money for fuel?

A fair bit but under £500 I would bet for the whole lot.
Lots of petrol money, but well worth it.

Exactly. A thirsty AMG will do 15-25mpg. 15mpg around Scotland if hoofing it, and 25mpg getting up the motorway. Its not that expensive and a fun thing to do in a fun car.

OK - let’s get this organised

First Venue and time of day, I will suggest three

1. Bluewater - A Saturday evening

2. MW World - A Saturday or Sunday day time

3. Large Pub nr M25 with big car park - Can be an all day and evening event on Saturday or Sunday to suit everyone. First one to come to mind is Watermill Inn, Dorking but I am happy to organise with one that will allow us to park up all day if this is not suitable.

Once we have agreed on a venue then we can agree dates.

Let's make this an MBClub meet EVERYONE on this forum is welcome so no petty remarks if you don’t want to come then I politely ask you contribute to another thread which holds greater interest for you.

So simple task just pick 1, 2 or 3 I will start with my vote on venue 3

Savman, thank you for taking the initiative here to bring the discussion back on track.

My vote is 2 (Sat or Sun) - BW is bit of drive for me and I think there is more to see/do at MB World.

Kamal
