Will add myself to the list, but it seems as though the focus has drifted towards an evening at Bluewater (can't make the evening).

Haven't had a look around Mercedes-Benz World for a while now and could do with picking a couple of parts up anyway - so I'm overdue a visit

Regarding the meeting place at Bluewater, I'll suggest the usual meeting place, being the 1st floor of the cinema multi-story - reason being, is that it's probably the place that most people know of from previous Bluewater meets.

Here is the map/ picture that I have posted up for previous meets.
The red lines are the 2 routes you can take.
The blue dot is the meet point.

NOTE: I've tried to illustrate the meet point as best as I can on the picture. The location is on the 1st floor and NOT the roof.


There are 2 ways to get to the meet point..

You can either follow the road round the back of the multi-stories and enter in the second entrance on your right - then turn immediately left, head to the end and go up the ramp that is on your left (you'll know what I mean when you get to the ramp)

or

You can go up the slope before you get round the back of the multi-stories, follow it up and keep left, which will take you onto the 1st floor of the cinema multi-story. Follow it along abit and then do a left (watch out for cars coming out though!).

It's always hard to explain the meeting place as it's all quite similar looking. But maybe grab each others mobile numbers and people can guide you when you get there.


This is only a suggestion so we can meet somewhere else if people prefer, but I suggest it because most people are used to this location.

After the last problems we are going to be very specific, there are lots of new people coming and with the recent changes due to the Glow building affecting the parking near the cinema I will head over on Saturday to check it out.

I will include car park colour, animal, floor and letter so you can't be more specific than that.

I think a description of what stores are immediatly inside the chosen entrance would be useful then people can check the map at Bluewater.co.uk out and maybe meet for a coffee or even shop before the meet!!

I see now where it went wrong last time as some of us were in the car park to the left of the Cinema building in Rashmans useful map and not in the car park to the right of the building as indicated (which to be fair is further from the Cinemas!)

Just got back and having checked some of the previous meets photos regulars should be able to find it easy and hopefully first timers as well. Basically just remember Blue Kermit Frog Level 1!!!!!

Anyhow If you follow the signs for Thames Walk car parks (Blue) and as per Rashmans photo/directions take the first ramps towards the mid level parking drive through the first parking area and over the raised crossing (Marks and Spencer's is on your right) turn left when safe and follow car park until you see these signs. If you get lost there is no hope for you!

Eating on saturday evening

Just to confirm from some queries today, that there is a table booked in my name for 6.30pm at Loch Fyne restaurant at Bluewater on Saturday.
I hope to be in the usual place around 6.15pm and meet up with those coming to the restaurant.
This said, Sav man is trying to make the foody bit, and subject to how he is getting on, travelling wise from the daytiime Brooklands event, we may linger a little so we can all order and eat together, play this a little by ear on the evening, but my thinking you all need to be there 6.15pm onwards.

Sorry for a the lack of communications on the MBW side of things I had to have an operation so been catching up with work.
Anyhow just spoke with MB World and they have 10 parking spaces blocked out near the building from 12 noon under the name of MBClub. The also have some 30 minute driving experiences available but only at 5pm onwards, if you are interested you can book direct on there central booking system for a standard Mercedes vehicle but if you want to change this for an AMG vehicle just pm me the booking details and the events guy at MBW will organise the change.
