A Vmax type event.

As an aside I'll have a pro photographer there on the day, if you want shots of your car in action then give me a shout.

Craig - what's the condition of the tarmac, I have had a few people comment to me on there cars receiving a large number of stone chips however all had not been for a number of years. Would you recommend protecting bonnet, arches, bumpers and mirrors with tape or have things improved now?

If everyone follows the rules and stays in lane as you should all do, theres not a lot of risk getting chips to the front end, and whilst I did not take precautions on the hammer event I attended, I did note that two guys on that event had taped up the side panel to the front of the rear wheel arch, which I took to help avoid damage from front wheels spiting back stones etc. It was a little lumpy out there, but no pot holes, its a runway, but given my car is cherished and very well looked after, it was not a concern to me on that day, just a very enjoyable day out, and I certainly did not suffer any damage.

As Ricky says, we space you out so you shouldn't actually get chips from another car.

I have never covered any part of any of my cars and never had a problem. Never say never of course but it's not like some airfields I have been to, no potholes, some slightly uneven sections but nothing at all serious.

The supercars don't have a problem there either.

Thanks guys I was puzzled as the videos contain some pretty exotic machinery that appear at several events which made me question if stone chips could be that big an issue. You have put my mind at rest.

Form sent back via email Ricky - let me know if not in order.

Are any attendees using a specific insurance cover for the day or not bothering or covered by their own policy?

Just to advise, that the photographer that Craig mentions here, is non other than GF Williams, Google the name, awesome shots!

Thanks Craig

STARFIRE MB Vmax day INDEMNITY FORMS.

I am pleased to say a vast amount of the Vmax day attendants have returned the duly filled in and signed indemnity forms I require BEFORE THE DAY. So big thanks to all that have, makes mine and CW's life a little easier.
For those that are still to return said forms, appreciate your all busy guys, and for some you are also chasing third party attendants as well, plus the proposed passengers need to also sign, but I could really do with those forms back with me ASAP, my own work is manic, I have very little spare time as well at the moment, so please guys make my life a little easier, get the forms back to me as soon as you are able.
We have only 10 days to go to the big event now, (where's the time gone, started this quest the best part of 6 months ago), so everyone should be grateful and give a big thanks to Craig W for stageing this event for us all, he also has put alot of time, effort and work into the running of this event, and i for one am really looking forward to it all its going to be a great one off event for this forum and all you guys attending.

I would like to say a big thanks to you who have organised it!

An unenviable task only made slightly easier by the prospect of the event.

I wasn't sure at first but after putting my name down, talking about it since and now reading down that list of (strangely 55!) final attendees - there are a lot of cracking motors going which I am looking forward to seeing and hearing - not to mention the 10 x E55Ks (common as muck they are) - and I am looking forward to it immensely now!

Quite an impressive list of cars there  and what an achievment to get so many AMG's together at the same time well done Ricky/Craig.

The cars all serviced and ready to go. I can pretty much guarantee that 165mph is going to be my max without a longer runway so im looking forward to seeing what my 0 to 60 times are if its dry.

Maff . Mclaren MP4 or race tuned Ferrari

just noticed this too

Fitted my 55 engine with Kleeman cams today.

Watch out you 32 boys.......

You are suppose to be on Holiday. What have you done to our 43!! Sounds amazing Olly

Can hardly wait for this... Anyone staying up near the venue the night before? Not sure I can get up there from the south coast early enough.
