acer laptop faulty advise please

Its to do with the laptop going into suspend mode when you shut the lid. There's a proximity switch /sensor in the lid/screen which goes faulty and the laptop fails to come out of suspend mode.

i just thought it seems a waste to throw away i'll ebay i think as a faulty laptop

Choose a free listing weekend (these currently seem to happen every fortnight) and, if it's an auction, since you aren't paying for listing based on the starting price, put the price close to what you want for it.

If it's a free listing weekend for BIN (Buy It Now), price it a little high but set it to accept offers. That way, you could, for example, price it at £100, but have the option to accept an offer of £80/£90/whatever.
