Hi All,

Just as an added visual deterrent I was thinking of putting one of those stoplocks below on my CLK200K.

I was going to pick up a 2nd hand one of ebay but my mate said to me to try and find out if it will fit as apparently they dint fit on every steering wheel?

Anyone got one?

Many thanks

To be perfectly honest, they arent worth fitting. Ive seen videos of people removing them in under 20 secs.

If your really concerned, id buy one of those full cover steering wheel locks.

I agree and that's probably why I can pick up a cheap 2nd hand one. But its like when the crime prevention officer said to me to fit window locks to my softwood windows, I said they wont stop anyone! He said, no but if next door doesn't have them then you're not the softest target. ;)

I will look atthose full wheel covers though. :thumb:

As above, they are a complete waste of money.

If someone wants to steal your car nothing will stop them.

In the 1980's people used to fit this type of thing when cars did not have imobilisers.

If you have the patience to set it up and dismantle it every day, nothing beats a wheel clamp!

Okay, an angle grinder might beat it... However I'm sure the user of this grinder would be beaten to the job by the vehicle owner upon hearing that racket near his vehicle :)
