hi guys
im replacing the injector fuel line set up. its the set of pipes and plug things, that go across the tops of the injectors, looks like theres a small pull out clip that holds them in. reason is my car has had problems starting and told it was down to run off, over nite fuel going back to the tank. is it a hard job and could you tell me if theres anythink i need to look out for.

thanks for any help :)

For starters replacing pipe will not help your issue. It is just a fuel leak off pipe that leaks off fuel that the injectors don't use.

Have you had the injectors tested for leak off?

Rather than bolting on parts. Get it diagnosed properly. That pipe is £85 from memory. You could have spent that on diagnosis!!

To remove the pipe just pull the clips off and pull the connectors upwards to remove. The end of the pipe is connected to the fuel rail. It just pulls off firmly.

bugger. i didnt pay for the part, the place where i got the car from paid for it, i beleaved this was the corse of the problem. my car has started giving my problems starting, takes quite a few goes on the key before it turns over. i read from the site that with age air leaks in and because of that fuel goes back to the tank, and i now have the wrong part. great

It will be one of two things causing your issue I suspect.

1, An injector is leaking off. A leak off test will show it

2, The clear fuel pipes are leaking air in overnight. Easy to spot. Is there any air in them after leaving them overnight?

hi blackc55
i friend sometime ago put my car on his laptop and done a series of checks for me to determin what was causing the black smoke from my car, has far has i know he dint say there was a problem with the injectors. i havnt checked the clear fuel pipes like you mentioned in number 2. could you tell me what pipes i need to be looking at and i will check them now and again tommorro. funny thing about this is not long after i started getting the problem with my car starting, i noticed one morning a small puddle under the front of my car in the middle, and it smelt like diesel. so could you tell me what pipes to check

They are the clear pipes. Ther are the only pipes on top of the engine that are clear. on of the comes out of the fuel filter.

The only way to check the injector leak off is using a leak off test kit. Any decent garge will have one.

il take a look tommorro, and thanks for your help, il let you know the out come, once again thankyou

blackc55 you was right, changing the injecter fuel return pipe made no dif what so ever, i have managed to get some o rings for the fuel pipe ends, will try this first then replace the pipes if no joy. was thinking of putting in a new fuel filter while im at it. if the leak off test for the injectors isnt to expencive il get that done aswell
