Hi all

i am looking at buying a 2010 e350cdi. The e350 has every extra Its done 75k miles and is in black. The car is up for 13.5k. Can anyone advise on any things i should be aware of? Common faults? Etc

Don't think you will be disappointed, have had mine for 12 mouths now not a single problem.
Lovely smooth powerful engine good on fuel on a long run, not to good round town.
Go for it !

my 2010 W212 E350CDI has just done 75k.

Just starting to feel run in!

No issues so far. Touch wood.

I would check brake fluid and transmission oil were changed. Rest of servicing is routine stuff.

Not sure how long the turbo's last on these.

Good cars. I have a 2011 S212 E350CDI I bought back in October last year with 64K miles. Extremely happy with it. Google 'E Class E350 CDI problems' and not a lot comes up. Early examples had injector problems but these were all sorted by recall. Fuel economy is not what it's claimed to be! I get high 30's maybe 40 on a long motorway run at steady 70. The 2011 model (mine) with 265bhp is even better, 2010 model may have the earlier 231bhp engine. Check how the car handles in a straight line, any pull to left or right may require a geometry/alignment check at a specialist (a Mercedes thing and not an issue). AFAIK all 350 CDI's have the 7G Tronic + Auto box which requires an ATF change at 75K miles so factor this in if it hasn't been done.

Thanks guys. is the ATF change expensive? what is it if you don't mind me asking?

The cars is a 10 plate so would that make it 231 bhp or 265 ??

2010 would make it 231bhp. ATF is the automatic transmission fluid/ gearbox service and expect to pay around £200 at a specialist or £300 at a Mercedes dealership
