37 and got my first Merc back end of last year, a C250 CDI Estate Sport Plus. Only extras are metallic, auto 'box and Becker unit - love it and I don't think Audi's and BMW's are a patch on it, especially not this particular engine - loving the torque.

39 here, got my first one last week, a fantastic machine!! c180k estate with sports package. I have never missed so many turnings just so I could drive for just a bit longer....
Having come from an Mitsubishi Warrior, the Mercedes seems cheap to fuel and cheap to tax.... to drive the Mercedes is worlds away from anything I have driven before!!

1st Merc (2003 C180) at 52 (had a lot of c*ap cars before then), now aged 57 (2010 C200).

The benefit of being a "mature" driver is insurance at £440 per annum fully comp with protected NCD. Goal is Aston Martin Vantage before I get to 65 (so you see, I'm not that "mature" except for insurance purposes).

Get tempted sometimes to sell the motorhome to raise funds for the Aston, but Mrs Technophobe would not be impressed (well, actually she would string me up - I was being diplomatic!!!).

.... but I ain't a lady, I'm the Dame and drive a Sprinter - one of the early ones from 1995 that go forever... even towed a 1.5 ton digger across the alps with her about 2 years back when she already had over 200,000 on the clock. (second gear, 20mph at 5am that last bit over the gotthard admittedly!)I'm now 55... bought her in 2001 when I was a mere 44.
