Alloy Pedals

I don't have any pickies of it unfortunately as both times ive fitted them on the newer of our cars ive been in a big rush.

Remove the split pin on the top of the pedal and it should full forward. Pull the rubber up towards you and give it a helping hand over the bumps of the pedal itself. Slide the new one on and put the split pin in.

Warming the pedals in water helps beforehand. I would recoment puting them into a foodbag or similar before puting them into water as it was extra time to dry the pedals off.

If you get stuck ill take a pickie of my W203 with the similar pedal setup as i snaped the split pin on it and it just slides out.

Guys sorry to add to this long post, but do you know the part numbers quoted for the 203 will fit a manual 123????

123 pedals are huge and i dont think 203 pedals are that big??

I wont be getting the parking brake one, as my 123 has a proper handbrake. Old Style, ie pull out of the dash....

But if i dont sell the cabrio this year, then i will get some pedals for it anyway....

My brake pedal rubber was worn out and came across this thread. I bought a set for my CLK with the part numbers provided.

Many thanks to you guys and your instructions, fitted them in 10 mins with no problems whatsoever

Having found this site, went to the stealership today to order the alloy pedals, ready to fit to the CLK270 I collect next week.

Guy in parts looked at me stupid. Obviously not the huge demand in Chester there is elsewhere

Fortunatley, I thought, there was a Sport Coupe with the evolution pack in the showroom, so armed with that chassis number went back to the parts computer.

Brake pedal part number 170 290 00 82 now £3.10 + Vat (Half other prices quoted on the forum)

No part found for the parking brake - the new Sport Coupe just had the standard nasty black rubber cover.

Then the crunch - accelerator pedal, under part number 170 300 04 04, quoted as delivery from Germany at £61.79 + VAT.

Needless to say I walked away.

Once home took the rubbers off a colleagues newish C270 (W203 model) Saloon, which had the same part numbers on the back as those listed by MBenzNL and Shude.

So first thing Tueswday will be back to the parts idiot to check the prices on the gas pedal with part ending 00 04, hoping this is cheaper than the one ending 04 04.

Will update on the prices later


Same idiot then quoted me £661 to fit the CD Changer in the glovebox, claiming it neede to be coded into the headset and the fibre optic cable also needed to be purchased as it wasn't just hiding behind the glovebox - anyone verify this ??

The pedal part number you have mentioned will be expensive.

the only difference between the pedals is round or oval rubber grips.

The part number you have is for oval rubber grips and that particalar part number is for drive by wire which is why it is so expensive.

Just buy the pedals with the part numbers quoted in this forum by Shude. Tell the idoit at the parts dept. just to order them.


The cd changer is fibre-optic and I do believe it needs to be coded, just email MBenzNL for more info and definetly a MUCH MUCH cheaper price.

There is no cable there and having it coded into the headunit wouldnt surprise me altho i would double check with another dealer.

I took the the rubber pads of my manual G-wagon, and the part number was (A)110 291 01 82 (was well for the brake as the clutch) and (A) 123 301 00 82 for the gas pedal

Does anybody has an idea what part number I need to order at MB dealer to have the same magnificent mod ?

I anybody knows it would be a great help !!!

I even heard that there should be different OEM Alloy pedals for the old W163 ML ? Any idea's on this one (that's for my dad when he saw what an amazing transformation this makes to your interior) ?

There is a good chance that even if the gas pedal assembly isn't the same the rubber part is (like 124, 203, 211 etc), please take some pics of your pedals so we can compare them with other models
