I've been quite interested in this so I emailed the Simon Coe at CCCTech to see what he could do with my 2.3 Kompressor in my CLK.
This is what he said.

Please find attached the figures for your vehicle.
The fully inclusive cost of the upgrade is £270, I can travel to you to carry out the work which takes approx 2 hours.
As well as the attached performance increase you will also see an improvement in the responsiveness of the vehicle and the pick up at lower revs. You should see a slight increase in fuel economy, but to be honest this will be quite small – especially if you use the extra power at your disposal often !
I remove the ECU and reprogram the memory containing the management software to achieve the increase in performance.
Don’t hesitate to ask should you have any further questions regarding the upgrade.

Seems like a nice guy from the email.
The performance figures are viewable in the attached PDF doc he sent me.
One thing is, I thought the later 230K engines (of which I presumably have given that its a facelift CLK) had 197bhp rather than 193bhp. I know its not much in terms of power but might mean that the way a chip needs to work to get the best of the engine is different. Can anyone shed any light on that?
