How comes you didnt take the trade in?

The 500e is awesome man!

Yes we were just a little out on price and the seller wasnt clear on why he was selling such an awesome car and so i was suspicious... It was offered to me at 7.5K.. and thats how much it went to another dealer for... not Jonathan Aucott, im guessing Aucott got it from this other dealer.

Just been quoted £454 for the "upper engine wiring harness" from Mercedes.

I've read from previous replies that this should be in the region of £350. Does anyone know where I can get one cheaper?

Seems reasonable for the wiring harness fitted from an MB Authorised Dealer?

Were they in awe when they saw your 500E?

They certainly were when they saw ours for a Transmission oil change at MB Bedford!

that would be just the part..

Why would you take your 500E to MB.. makes no sense to me... they probably havent seen a W124 for years never mind a 500...
The sprouts wont have a clue.

IMO you would be better taking it to a decent independent than wasting money at MB.

I take my 500E's to MB on Great West Road all the time....when i go to collect parts i've purchased !

Usually the parts guys make a point of carrying my parts outto the car to get a close up view of the beasts !

Thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can get hold of the part number from Mercedes and see if they do it cheaper on that site.

In the meantime I'm trying to find myself a reservekanister but it's not going very well. They seem to be few and far between. If anyone has a spare knocking around...
