Last weekend was a very emotional time as we held a "celebration of Hannah`s life" on friday , which was attended by around 200 people.
A charity 24 hour indoor soccer match had long been planned, and due to commence at 5 p.m. saturday , and the guys elected to go ahead with it. Bless them , this fine group of young men played their hearts out and managed to raise around £10,000 for Weston Hospicecare, via Broad Community Trust . A fundraising Charity Ball has been organised for March 4th with all 324 tickets sold within a couple of days. A fine tribute to Hannah , and we hope, a further 10k or so will be raised for the Hospice. Heart warming to see our childrens generation has not turned out as badly as many have portrayed them, and comforting that through tragedy , money has been raised for a worthy , domestic charity. Unfortunate though it is that the need for "end of life" charity is needed in the U.K. People really are wonderful.
