Chrome stripper, then you will have a nickel layer underneath. dont get it on your paint work. (or skin)

You would need a power supply, and anode wands, positive to the item to be stripped, negative to wand.

Take the items concerned to a plating works. There are some unpleasant processes / materials involved from a health point of view.
