2010 Mercedes E350 3.0 v6
I have a 2010 Mercedes E class 3.0 V6. The car has been out of MOT since January and end of February I took it for MOT and it failed on suspension and leaking injectors.

I have had a nightmare with it. Firstly I broke the leak off pipe pulling it off of injectors, also resulting in needing to source 2 replacement injectors as the thing broke that the pipe connects onto,
then when torquing down the bolts 2 of the 6 injector clamp bolts snapped inside the engine.
This happened because my neighbour borrowed me his torque wrench and said he'd set it on 8nm when he actually had it set above 56 nm according to a garage when I showed them the torque wrench

My mechanic mate partially drilled out the snapped bolts but didn't drill them out entirely. He tapped a new and bigger thread and used shorter but thicker bolts and I've torqued them down though one of the 2 required several extra turns to go tight after using the torque wrench.

Now as I turn the key the car turns over but isn't starting and is chuffing loudly which my mate says is fuel injector , don't know which one until engine is started .
Now the car won't start I assume it's airlock, but there is also a connector that leads to somewhere and i have looked and looked and cannot find where it is supposed to go to and if potentially that could be the reason for that car not starting.

Please help, Tia

I would spray brake cleaner/easy start into air intake(having loosened 1injector fuel pipe) then try to start even if it doesnt start you will see if you have plenty of fuel getting to injector, it will temporarily fire up on easystart and hopefiully clear air

Thanks where is the air intake lol

And do you know where that connector is supposed to go. In the pic ?

Connector is not used on your engine

Cars are full of unused wires , connectors , threaded holes/studs , voids covered with trim covers. It is more relevant on older cars particularly if that model build had tens of different options available to the customer when ordering.

It was easier and cheaper to make just a few wiring looms for all models , sounds wasteful by todays standards but was the norm when some cars had hand wound rear windows but electric fronts , heated or non heated 'wing' mirrors etc.

Here is a great recent example when jaguar couldnt be ****d to make a different block from V8 to V6 , just basically 'blank off' a few cylinders. :D
