Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

1Y on a black blinged up Landrover Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic in Preston. Pulled into the Estate Management carpark slot on a retail park, so would guess whoever owns the land? Bet that numberplate would cost a bob or two!

First of all, congratulations on this thread reaching 1,000 pages and almost 20,000 posts!

Secondly, some poor BMW driver isn't getting any

Yes, it would have been eye-watering for that plate. My guess is heavy 5 figures but could well be into 6 figures.

Makes me even more curious who owns it now! Driver was a Yummy Mummy with two small kids in the back

Tricky to find out unless someone knows... more popular plates like F1 are more in the public domain as it has fetched huge sums so the owner of the right can be found fairly easily.

1Y could well be in and amongst the following plates in terms of value although I think Y offsets the two digit exclusivity somewhat (Y always seems to be valued lower relatively speaking - I guess not a popular initial for starters):

M2RRY on a lovely SLK55 (R172)- seen on M25 clockwise this afternoon. Think I'd be merry with a car like that!!

I can't actually work out what the 'true' plate is. As far as I can see there are either too many consecutive numbers (1110) or too many consecutive letters (OTTJ), and if the 1st two vertical lines are actually an H, that's also not a valid plate. (Or am I being stupid?!)
