I just don't get it, I'm afraid; OBI 8 ONE is utterly meaningless to me, unless a slightly desperate attempt to link tenuously with Star Wars. I don't understand the possible connection with May 4th, either; pray, explain.

It's just a bit of a laugh really. Most people will associate that with Star Wars, as even you did. No matter how tenuous. And the May 4th connection, is
