Talking about number plates on another forum a few months ago, I received a pm from a member, copied below - make of it what you will!!
"Some 30 years ago I had a mate who bought a tractor with CHR1S as the reg.
Guess what his name was........
Anyway, can't transfer agricultural to public, so....he bought an old farm LandRover registered as agricultural, swapped the plates over, then re-regged the Landie for road use.....
Only took him 3 years to sort it!!!!"
