If someone didn't know you, your's would seem a 'MAT' (Matt/Matthew) plate which is not that 'good' or 'interesting' as they are easily and cheaply available. The fact it spells your full name would not be known at first glance and so hence makes it appealing to you, in fact almost perfect.

Could be the same for others
