Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

At first I thought this was a bit, well, risque! Then a colleague pointed out the young driver was probably called Penny!

Saw a cute one on the way to work this morning..."B4U RW" on a BMW 4 series diesel. Couldn't get a picture though...

Just spotted a Mercedes Sprinter belonging to Premier Meats on A1 Western Bypass Newcastle. The van has photographs of beef steaks on the side. The reg? Well could not be anything other than RB11EYE

Back some 36 years ago prior to our marriage my wife shared a house with Jo one the other teachers at her school.
Jo had an old Citroen 2CV which broke down as she left the school. As she had AA cover she phoned for help. Name, membership details make and model of the car following and location etc fine then came the registration Jo said 2CV the AA operator kept saying she had recorded the type of car but needed the reg. Jo again repeated 2CV as it was the registration. In the end the operator agreed to send out a patrol thinking Jo was some dim sort of person who could not remember the registration.
The patrol duly turned up to fix the car but pointed out that Jo needed to put on proper number plates as he assumed the 2CV number plates had been left on from
The garage forecourt. Jo explained that her dad had given her the car as a present and as chair of the UK 2CV owners club had managed to get the plates.
Jo had frequent need to call the AA and always had to explain that the car was the same registration as the model.

I love plates that are linked to the car....... like my Wrangler!!

Whenever I see those ultra short numberplates they always catch my eye. Their long history is instantly unfathomable, yet intriguing.

It's not about the 2CV bio, but it's a great story, thanks for that!
