Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

I wonder if this plate is genuine, and if so, where it is from...

Can't be, but I can't figure out what the real plate is (even with screws etc).

Perhaps a showplate?

In September 2038 it will be possible.

I can only assume otherwise it is a foreign registration on UK-style plates.

It's not like it doesn't stand out like a sore-thumb either.

I'm surprised anyone would put that much effort in to to turn a meaningless number plate into a meaningless number plate.

The plate is actually R888 ERR, he’s gone the whole hog and swapped an 8 for the 0.

Presumably he can afford the fines but what if his car is confiscated, which it should be and he should lose the right to use the plate any longer. I don't mind when people change letter spacings but that plate is just plain wrong and could be construed as the owner attempting to pervert the course of justice should there be an incident.
